Song to the Goddess

Either let me be intoxicated
in your love completely
or put on my robes of joy
and rob me absolutely.
Judge me guilty
in the court of love
or absolve me absolutely;
find me flawed if you like
but never hold me weakly.
No middle ground is possible
for lovers who love completely!

IT WAS IN 1919 that I first came to Sri Bhagavan. He was then living at Skandasramam on the slope of the Hill Arunachala. His mother and brother lived with him. Palaniswami used to attend to his few personal wants. Plague had driven away most of the inhabitants of the town and consequently visitors to Sri Bhagavan were few. I was, therefore, left alone with Sri Bhagavan most of the time.

He was an extraordinary teacher of Vedanta, a great visionary and mobilizer for Dharma. “How” He was, taught me more than anything else. He was Love embodied into a saffron laced, declining, faltering body that I had the immense grace of first beholding at Arsha Vidya Gurukulum, Saylorsburg in 2012.
